Sonia Di Gennaro, psychologist, trainer and clinical supervisor
About
Sonia Di Gennaro
I am a psychologist, clinical supervisor and counsellor, with an MSc in Psychotherapy (UK). I previously taught psychotherapy in the UK and have many years of experience working with individuals, couples and groups.
My approach is grounded in Transactional Analysis, and I am a member of the International Transactional Analysis Association (ITAA) and the European Association of Transactional Analysis (EATA).
For me, it is important that you feel able to talk openly and that together we can explore whatever is causing you difficulty. I aim to support you in finding your own way forward and making choices that feel right for you, with greater awareness and autonomy.
I offer a free 15-minute initial phone or Zoom consultation, giving us an opportunity to briefly discuss what brings you to me and whether working together might be right for you.

Individual sessions
If you have found your way to this page, perhaps something in your life is not going quite as you would like. You may feel the need to talk to someone about the difficulties you are facing and would like some support in finding a way through them. Perhaps you are feeling alone in a culture different from your own. Maybe I can help....
02.
Couples sessions
When tensions arise between you and your partner, you may both find yourselves caught in recurring patterns, such as heated arguments, conflict, or withdrawing from one another into silence. These patterns can make it difficult to restore a sense of balance in your relationship.
In my professional role, I aim to remain neutral and encourage both partners to explore the difficulties and concerns each of you is experiencing, while supporting you in communicating with one another in a more effective and constructive way.
03.
Group facilitation
In a group, the interaction between participants creates a particularly dynamic experience. This can foster relationships, a sense of connection and belonging, and the development of a shared culture with the potential for meaningful change. Groups can offer a supportive space where sharing experiences and difficulties with others can help ease feelings of isolation and alienation.
